Happy St. Patty's Day

A couple days before St. Patty's day we had a good time making some painted marshmallow rainbows.  Chase looks a little pale in the this picture, because he was home sick that day.  We have had a really rough winter catching every possible virus it seems, except for the stomach bug thank goodness, but we have been sharing it all.

Chase helping me make some green shamrock rice krispie treats that were really yummy.  And they were a great dessert to top of the braised corn beef and cabbage I made for dinner.  It was actually really good.  The boys liked it too.  My boys have become great little eaters vegetable eaters, they eat broccolli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, asparagus.  Chase wants to be strong like hulk smash and we always make a game out of it to get Bryce to eat whats on his place.  Cole and I decided we could write a great book on 20 plus ways to outsmart your kids to get them to eat their meal at dinnertime:)
My two little green leprechauns, they loved St. Patty's day this year.  Chase had a St. Patty's  celebration on the Friday before, and Bryce and I enjoyed reading some books to his class that day. Below is the box that Chase and I made to catch a leprechaun in.  He didn't catch him but he left behind some necklaces, chocolate coins, and lucky charms.

Snow Day

We ended up having one real snow day with more than one inch of snow, we got maybe 5 inches of snow.  So Cole and Chase headed to the park to sled in the slush and build a snowman together.  My boys built a pretty awesome snowman, that was way better than my snow turtle I help Chase build earlier this year.  Chase didn't want to sled at first(he is still chicken little), and then Tig couldn't get him to stop of course.

My little Scientist

Chase loves Science.  He loves learning about animals, the solar system, the earth, etc.  He must take after his Daddy.  Thanks Grammy for sending this fun science kit.  Chase so far loved his first project of making pennys shiny by putting them in lemon juice.  His excitement and smile were priceless when he was in the science zone.  His teacher at school told me Chase is doing really well at everything, has lots of friends(we have been doing playdates with his friends from class), and that he Loved Science.  Chase and I usually work on writing, drawing, and reading while Bryce naps, so it has been fun to throw in a few science projects lately to change it up. It is really fun to see Chase starting to read.  We just started reading some Bob Books together and Chase can read the first four books.  It is exciting when they sound a word out and then can figure it out.  Go Chase.

This shark was the size of Chase's hand and then after we put it in "cold" water, it now looks like this. We got this toy shark from the Baltimore aquarium and first put it in hot water so we thought it was a bust.  But it showed us when we finally did it right.
My boys making fizzy foam volcanos.  They were having so much fun.  Bryce might have sat and played all day with his clay volcano and messy lava.
Bryce is so full of himself these days.  He learns new words everyday.  He was loving saying the word "lava, lava".  Bryce has some funny saying right now, he will say "See you later Cow" when he is leaving a room(no idea where he learned that).  He likes to say "Trouble, Trouble, Trouble AAAH" from the Taylor Swift goat spoof you tube video.  And when he gets mad he will scream for 10 seconds and then fall to the ground and start snoring for 5 seconds and then stand up and be fine.  It is really hard not to laugh.  Chase, Cole, and I will just look at each other and try not to laugh.  Lastly when we are being silly or loving to Bryce, he will tilt his head like in this picture, and say"MOMM or DADD" in the sweetest voice.  Will have to try to get some of these things on video.

The Great Zucchini, Library Storytime, and Birthday Parties

So this past week Chase's preschool had the "Great Zucchini" come to make the kids laugh for half an hour and invited the parents to attend.  We were only there 5 min. and the Great Zucchini called Bryce up to help, because he was laughing just as hard as the other kids.  So Bryce is now considered the "Star" at Chase's school because he was so stinkin cute.  Bryce just wants to be so big these days, and he pretty much watches Chase to see what he does.

Chase also got called up to help out.  He was laughing so hard.

I have been taking the kids a lot this winter to the Rockville Library. They have a bunch of storytimes and once a month they have a Mommy and Me special day where a bunch of sponsors set up booths with different activities for the kids to make, eat, exercise for free.  The kids have had a blast the couple of times we have gone to it.  And Chase and Bryce love story time.  They love to volunteer and Chase loves to raise his hand and give answers, I do get a little nervous everytime because I am not sure what will come out of his mouth.

Chase has been invited to a couple of birthday parties lately and Bryce usually tags along with me since Cole is usually working. This one was Isabelle's from school that she had at a Cheerleading Gym.(Isabelle actually kissed Chase(second kiss to Becca Brough) on the playground after school that I happen to witness.  Don't know if Chase knew what happened to him, but he then seemed to follow her around like a puppy dog afterwards.)  Chase had a blast at the party and didn't stop jumping and bouncing around for about 2 hours.  Bryce once again had all the parents oohing and awing over how cute he was trying to jump and be like the big kids. One time Chase did a bunch of somersaults down the long trampoline and the next thing I know Bryce is trying to do the same thing but his somersault was a side roll.  It was too funny.
Chase also got invited to his friend Allison's birthday party that was at a gymnastics gym that he had a blast at.  And we got to go to our friend Brayden Bunts birthday swim party a couple of weeks ago.  Who are some friends of ours from Omaha that just moved into the area.  So we had a good time seeing them and Chase and Bryce had a blast in the pool.

Happy Valentines Day!

My sweet Valentine boys.  Love these two.  They are both lovers, huggers, and love to give kisses.  And most of the time they get along.  I love to walk into the room to find these two playing nicely together(like when I found Chase giving Bryce elephant rides around the room).  Although sometimes I walk into the room and one of them will have to do time out.  Brothers are for Sharing.  I helped Chase make a bunch of Valentines for his preschool classmates for their Valentines Day party on Friday.  Chase didn't have school on Valentines day so I took the boys over to an indoor bounce house.  We were the only ones there that day.
Chase coming down his favorite big slide.  Bryce liked it too, but a couple of times he looked like a wet noodle going down because it was so fast.

The boys and I gave Cole a heart attack.  Not sure what is going on in the picture, Bryce happens to be wearing a necklace and Chase seems to be doing some cheesy model pose.
The boys had a good time making and decorating Valentine Sugar Cookies.  They were actually really good.

Thank you Cole for my beautiful tulips and chocolate covered strawberries.  I love Valentines Day for those two reasons.  Chase is already asking his Dad for chocolate covered strawberries next year for V-Day.

Bryce's Mommy and Me Swim Class

So I decided to sign up Bryce for his first Mommy/Daddy and me swim class while Chase took a swim class.  Bryce is definitely my little fish.  He just loved the water.  He kicks, lays on his back, goes under the water, sings all the songs, and is just grinning from ear to ear. He is just a cracker.  They would have the kids sit on the wall and sing the Humpty Dumpty song and then fall into the water.  Bryce would sing it everytime while boppy up and down, and then fall into the water.  Such a cheese that one.  Chase liked his class, but not as well as the other pool that he had taken a couple of classes at.  Don't think he learned anything in this class, but we did make huge strides with him the other night at family swim night with going under the water for 5 seconds at a time.  He loves the pool we just have to get him to go under.
Cole got to attend Bryce's last class.  I had to take pictures through a glass wall so they are kind of blurry.
