While Cole was in Colorado, the kids and I played

Mommy and Me playdate at Congressional Plaza.  The boys doing some exercising, and the picture below is in our front side yard.  The boys made some noodle necklaces, got tattoos, and got some sword balloons.  I love all the free events they have around here at all the mall complexes.

Chase's end of year picnic/playground party.  Graham and Ryan are his buds, Bryce thinks they are his buds too.  They are really cute with him too.

Bryce and Creighton wearing the same T-Rex shirt.
Chase and Harrison T. cooling off in the shade.
Smore Fun at Spencer's house, next door.

We hit the Rockville Library with Chase's friend Allison for storytime, and then decided to hit the splashpad right in front of the Library.  Chase had me in shock, he has not really liked splash pads in the past.  But he ran straight the water about 100 times.  Bryce just cruised the outside.

Chase's friend Allison.  Can you spot Chase?
The boys telling me Happy Mothers Day after our walk to the park.  Although Cole was gone, I had a great mothers day.  The boys made me chocolate covered strawberries before Cole left, Chase and Bryce helped me pick out some beautiful pink roses, Chase looked too cute singing in the primary, and he did a great job giving the prayer in opening exercises.  And the boys treated me to Panera Bread for lunch.  Still my favorite.  Love these two.
Enjoying our "favorite, favorite" gelatis at our Custard/Italian Ice shop down the street.

Leesburg Animal Park

We had a silly family day at Leesburg Animal Park.  It was a beautiful day to feed lamas, camels, pigs,   goats, etc.  Don't think I have ever been close up to a camel before.  They were pretty funny.  And Cole got a video of me being nipped in the butt by a donkey that was after my food, reminded me when Brighton use to do that to me in our Omaha backyard.  Those were the days.

 Goble, Goble.

Tig getting nipped on the shoulder by the Camel.  Too funny.

The boys loved jumping in the cow belly.  Some older kids showed Chase how to do a front flip, so it was pretty funny watching Chase try to figure it out.  And now i just caught him the other day practicing on the couch.

Snakes

Although I do not like snakes, my boys love to talk about snakes, so I knew they would love the toddler program about snakes at the Croyden Creek Nature Center.  We have several nature centers close by and I have been wanting to check one out.  The boys had a great time making snakes, reading about snakes, touching a snake, and then going on a nature hike with the group in which we find 2 wild  baby snakes.

Chase is holding a inch worm.
 Holding their snakes they made.
The nature center had lots of turtles for the kids to look at.  This was Chase's favorite one.

Cousin Love and Tulip Love at the D.C. Temple

Love these three kiddos.  Loving the temple and the beautiful tulips.  It was a really humid day so all the gnats were out, and Bryce was not thrilled with them in his eyeballs.  So it made it difficult to get any pictures.  But we managed to get a couple of cute shots before taking CoCo and Aunt Luce to the airport.  Their visit flew by, and we had so much fun while they were visiting.  These three together were a riot in between the "stop touching me" moments.

Happy 9th Anniversary Present from my Lobster.
