Tidal Basin Fun

We had a relaxing day walking around the tidal basin and checking out the memorials.  The weather was perfect and the boys did great.
Most of the blossoms were gone except for a few trees that were back away from the Basin.  I just love Cherry Blossoms, they are so pretty.
 Martin Luther King Memorial.
View looking away from MLK Memorial.

FDR Memorial was really cool.  It is more spread out than just one big building like the other memorials.

 White Blossom Tree.

FDR with his dog, Fala.  The boys liked him the best.

Picnic lunch on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial, overlooking the Tidal Basin, makes for a perfect lunch.

 Jefferson
Looking out from the Jefferson.  Chase cracks me up.
Waiting in line for the Paddle boats.
My 3 captains.  I was banned form steering.  We had a great time.

Beautiful Tulip garden on the edge of the Tidal Basin.

Ice Cream Snack before jumping on the Metro to head home.  Bryce picked a Spiderman Popsicle.

Chase's Tee-Ball Debut

Chase warming up for his first game.  His team is the Braves and they played the Cardinals, which is the baseball team we will be cheering on when we move to St. Louis.
Bryce trying on my glasses.  He is a good little cheer squad.  He loves to cheer on Chase and his teammates.
Chase played at the pitchers mound for his first time in the outfield(all the kids rotate positions).  He did an awesome job.  Here is his first throw to Ryan(his bud) at first base.

Last batter so Chase is runner to home plate to get him out(although there are not outs in tee-ball).
Chase's first at bat.  Not too bad.

Chase is full of energy and excitement when he plays sports.  He is my little Tigger.  He is a lot of fun to watch because he just loves sports.
Chase getting coached by his Dad to run home.
Chase makes it to home plate for the first time.
This was funny, because the kids had no idea how to walk forward and hi 5 at the same time.
Group huddle, Chase is front and center, with their coach, Mike Hurt.
Chase(5) with his buds, Ryan and Graham, tickling Bryce.
 More tickling, Bryce loves it.
 The Tee-Ball Parade.

 Funny faces.

Can't believe Chase is getting so big.  We had a blast watching him in his first game.  Love this guy.  Go Braves.
