National Museum of Natural History

Bryce and Grampy riding the DC metro.
Heading towards the National Museum of Natural History.  We had a great day at the Museum.  Lots of dinosaur bones, watched an Imax movie about polar bears, and I enjoyed the gem exhibit.

Bryce was really into the magnifying glass and the binoculars, he was so cute.

Chase loved looking at all the dinosaurs.  Chase is really into nature and science.  He eats this stuff up.    It makes museums really fun right now with Chase, because he soaks it all in.

The huge hope diamond.  The gem exhibit was really neat.  My favorite was the smaller blue heart hope diamond.  It was gorgeous.

Chuck E Cheese

The boys always have a great time at Chuck E Cheese.  And since we had to postpone our pool date with Grammy since it was closed, this was a great back up plan.

Christmas Fun

The Taylor Household had a great Christmas.  I took mostly video Christmas morning, but the boys loved all their presents from Santa, Grandparents, and their Aunts.  From Santa, Bryce and Chase got a really cool fire engine, when Bryce plays with it, he constantly says "Where's the Fire, Where's the Fire".  And they also got a Big Boots Helicopter, which was a big hit.  Bryce has the cutest voice too when he talks about "Big Boots".  Santa also brought Magformers(magnetic building blocks), we have a lot of fun with those, and some really big building blocks.  So Santa found us, and Chase actually had his own mini pre Christmas because he snuck down stairs and went through everything.(It was are fault because we wanted to sleep in.)  Below are their fun Christmas presents from the Grandparents.  Xbox Kinect(Chase is a machine, he would play the sports games all day if we let him) and a Construction Set.  The boys are in heaven.

Grammy also found us too on Christmas night.  The boys were excited to see their Grammy.

The Night Before Christmas

Bryce and Chase opening one of their 12 days of Christmas from their Grandma Dawn sporting their Utah gear they got from Grandma.  They boys love that tradition.  Thanks Grandma.
Bryce and Chase in their Christmas Eve jammies from Grammy.  They are excited for Christmas and to see Grammy and Grampy tomorrow night.

One of my favorite nightime rituals.  Dad reading a book to his boys.  Tonight they read "The Night before Christmas".

Our house Christmas Eve.  We had our first little snowfall in Maryland.  We haven't had any snow since then, and it was melted by Christmas day.  But I thought I would post a picture of our house with our lights up with a sliver of snow on the ground.  It looks a lot better in person, like a little Gingerbread house.  But Cole and Granpa Gary did a great job figuring out how to put our lights up this year.  And I added a few touches around the door.

D.C. Temple Lights

I love the D.C. temple.  It was the first temple that I did baptisms for the dead at when I was 12.  So it so fun to be living only 15 minutes away from the temple.  Our church building we attend is right next door.  We took the kids out to walk around the temple lights the weekend before Christmas.  It was packed and the lights and temple were beautiful.

Happy Birthday to You

Small Clip of Bryce singing Happy Birthday before he got distracted by a toy.

Happy 2nd Birthday Bryce!

Happy Birthday Bryce.  We just love this little 2 year old to death.  This little guy loves life and makes us smile every day with his cute personality.  He repeats just about everything we say right now.  And his little voice is just so sweet.  He has been singing the Happy Birthday song to himself all week long in preparation for today.  Bryce loves his brother and follows him around and wants to be so big.  He has turned into a 2 year old now becoming more independent and stubborn.  But we just can't imagine life with out our little Bryce.  And Cole is happy because he has moved up into the 70th percentile for height.  But I will post his official stats once we go to the doctor.

Bryce's birthday gift from mom and dad.  And Bryce says thank you for all his b-day gifts from everyone.  He plays with them all and so does Chase:)  They are pretty good sharers.

This was the present that Chase wrapped all by himself for Bryce for his birthday that I mentioned in a previous post.  Inside was toys from around the house and our missing baby monitor.  He was so excited to give it to Bryce.  It was the sweetest thing ever.

Port Discovery Children's Museum in Baltimore

We decided to go check out the Port Discovery Museum in Baltimore on Bryce's 2nd B-Day.  It was a fun day and the kids had a great time at the Discovery Museum.  Below are a few pictures from the day.  The kids were on the move with everything there was to touch and see it was action picture day.

Chase making some snow.
The boys and Cole's favorite exhibit, the water room.
Chase and Cole putting the water tubes together.  Watch out for the leak!!

Chase as a Shepherd

Chase's preschool class.  Chase got to be a shepherd for his Christmas Nativity Play. He loved the fact that he got to hold a stuffed lamb.  Very cute.

Presents From Uncle Bill and Heather (Go Ducks!)

Playing hot potato with their little football.

Thank you Uncle Bill, Heather, and Coen for the fun Oregon outfits, Oregon football, and the duck call necklaces(there will be payback for those loud duck whistles).  The boys loved them.
