Sneaky Chase

If you listen close you can hear Chase babble, clap, and do his Heman grunt at the beginning of the clip.

9 Month Stats

Chase had his 9 month visit(two weeks late)today and he is healthy and doing well.  He weighed 19 lbs. 10 oz. (15th percentile) and was 28.5 in tall.  (50th percentile).  He is a crawling machine and just started clapping his hands on his own.  He is a mischievous little guy so I have to watch him at all times, cause he loves to open cupboards and pull plugs.  And he loves to chase Brighton around the house.  I am so blessed to have a healthy, beautiful boy.  He makes me smile all day long, and he has been making his dad laugh lately with his fun personality.

Mother's Day

Cole and Chase spoiled me and took me out to Bonefish Grill for Mother's Day along with flowers and a card.  It is one of our favorite restaurants here in Omaha.  Chase was really good and was enjoying his cereal puffs and the rolls.  No fish for him yet.

Crawling Chase Video

Chase started crawling this past week.  And his bottom two front teeth popped up.  Cole finally finished his rotation out in McCook, Ne.  It has been a long two months.  Now we just need to get the house sold and start getting things ready for Japan, since we are only two months away.

Happy Easter Bunny!!

Happy Easter.  Chase got really spoiled from his two Easter Grandmas with cute outfits, easter toys, and books.  He loved them all and I loved the outfits.  Hope everyone had a great Easter Sabbath.

Chase is 8 Months Old

My little baby is growing so fast.  This week he started all of a sudden taking an hour an half to two hour afternoon naps all by himself.  I don't know quite what to do with myself.  He randomly taught himself how to fall asleep on his own, so I don't have to always rock him to sleep.  It is nice, but so sad at the same time.  He can scoot backwards as seen in the above photo.  Although he prefers to stand.  And he is starting to like food a little more.  He is liking banana oatmeal which is what he is eating in the above photo or wearing.
Other than my baby growing up, Cole is still in McCook, NE(5 hours from Omaha) for another month.  We are excited that he gets to come home this weekend.  Our house is now on the market and we had our first showing today, so my newly extra minutes are going into cleaning the house on a daily basis.  And we are starting to get the paperwork in place and discuss everything that needs to be done before the big move to JAPAN.

Lunch with Grammy & Aunt Kara

Chase and I are so glad we got to go to Utah to visit family and friends for a couple of weeks.  We had a blast.  It was so fun being able to meet up with family and friends.  And Chase is going to miss his grammy and I think grammy already misses Chase!

Uncle Derek(Soon to be), Aunt Luce, and Chase

Congrats Luce on your engagement.  We are so excited that Derek will be part of the fam. Chase approves.

Grandpa Gary and Chase

Thanks Gary for helping Cole finish some much needed projects around the house.  The painting and the deck look great.

St. George Visit

Thanks Dawn for letting us stop by to see your beautiful place and letting us swim in your pool. I know Chase loved spending time with his grandma, especially when you kept cracking him up when you shook your head.  Just wish your warm St. George weather would come this way.

Babbling Chase Video

Chase will be 7 months tomorrow.  Right now he loves to hear himself talk(babble) and loves to show off his smile which everyone says he has an infectious smile.  He is not crawling yet although he seems like he is just ready to explore the world.  So I better enjoy this stage now.  He sits up really good and this week he sat in the grocery cart for the first time and he thought he was so cool.  Cole is in McCook, Nebraska(5 hours from here) for all of March and April.  We miss him already.  The only good thing about it is that I have one less person to clean up after since we are preparing to get our house on the market.

We're Moving to Japan

We officially found out yesterday that we will be moving to Misawa, Japan.  We will be moving this July and plan to be there for 2 to 4 years.  We are really excited to get this opportunity to live overseas.  It will be an adventure for sure.  We have heard wonderful things about Misawa and Cole has heard great things about the Misawa clinic.

6 Month Stats

Took Chase in for his 6 month appointment today.  He weighed 18 lbs. 12 oz. (75th percentile) and was 28 in. long (95th percentile) and his head measurement was in the 5oth percentile.  He is such a smiley baby and loves to show off his smile to everyone he meets.  I just love this little guy.  He is sitting up really good on his own and can stand for about 10 seconds holding on to something.  And he loves going to playgroup, shrimp class, and the learning center to hang out with other moms and babies.  And mom loves adult time as well.

Shrimp Class

Last Saturday Chase had his first swim class with his buddy Brayden.  He really loved the water.  It was funny cause the whole time he was making grunting noises.  Either he was cold and keeping himself warm or he was just really enjoying himself.

Chase's New Toys

Chase is 5 months old.  He is a cracker and loves to smile.  He still hates to take naps, but he sleeps good at night.  He is rolling over on his own a couple times a day now.  We will have to try to get it on video.  But he hasn't figured out how to roll back over so he gets stuck on his stomach and gets mad.  We love this little guy-he brings us so much joy!

Sugar Bowl

Cole went down to New Orleans with his buddies Bill and Chris to see Utah beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Cole had a blast, and definately enjoyed the game, the food, his buds, and the beads. Chase and mom cheered from home. The guys ran into a couple celebrities, and took a picture with the guy from all the all-state commercials.

My Little Snow Bum

Very Red Christmas

So we have a tradition in my family that we like to do a gag gift for our spouses.  My mom decided to to gag my dad by decorating his office in Utah red since he is a big BYU fan.  And Cole and Derek were gladly willing to help.  Cole gaged Chase and I with a bear suit cause Cole and I always laugh when we see babies bundled so much that they can't barely move.  Although I will be bundling Chase in this bear suit over the next couple of months.  And don't get me started about the picture with Santa.  The actual pictures we got turned out really cute, but we waited over an hour to get the picture and I thought my mom was going to take out Santa.
